Butterfly Beach is within walking distance of the small fishing town, Oistins Bay. Oistins is home to the renowned 'Oistins Fish Fry' which takes place every Friday night. This event has a festive atmosphere and is the place to go to enjoy freshly cooked fish at a reasonable price and for a chance to meet the locals.
A couple of shops, a bank and a few bars are also within walking distance from the hotel. St Lawrence Gap, which has several bars, restaurants and nightclubs, as well as shops and boutiques, is a short bus or taxi ride away. Barbados Golf Course is also nearby.
The hotel's 93 units comprise of rooms and studios. Many enjoy sea views and a balcony or a terrace. All of the rooms have an in-room safe, fridge, air conditioning, free internet access and ceiling fans. The Island View Studios also have a kitchenette with a fridge, toaster and kettle.
Hotel facilities include a small, but lovely pool, three whirlpools, a shop, currency exchange and a hair salon. The beachside bar and grill serves fresh food daily. It also hosts local live entertainment two nights a week.
The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. This feeling is enhanced by the welcoming helpfulness of the multi-lingual staff. Awarded TripAdvisor Travellers Choice award, the hotel is very popular, with lots of repeat visitors. Although there is not a kids' club, the hotel has several interconnecting rooms available on request, which are ideal for families. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel and rooms.

That's really not a nice time of year to visit Barbados or any of the Caribbean. You're right in the wet season (and potentially hurricanes).

Just as summer ends in many countries around the world, Bridgetown still has an average temperature of 27°C (81°F) in October and it is a fantastic place for an autumn break. High temperatures reach 29°C (84°F) with milder evenings of 24°C (75°F) and a welcoming breeze.
A solid 8 hours of sunshine per day and sea temperatures of 29°C (84°F) means a trip to this resort can certainly help to keep winter at bay.
October is generally a humid month and one of the rainiest months of the year with 178mm, but there are still blue skies and many interesting activities to explore. Even though October is in the hurricane season it is unlikely to be affected by a tropical storm or hurricane, so this is a great time to visit Barbados.

I went to Cancun in Late Sept / Early Oct once and the weather was still absolutely roasting, sure the odd tropical downpour for half hour and then clear skies again. Won't be the same everywhere but could well be a cheeky bargain

Due to its location in the Caribbean Sea, Barbados is fortunate to not experience hurricanes in the last who knows how many decades,which have devastated other Caribbean islands and parts of the US.
Instead they experience tropical storms (quite scary heavy winds, rough seas) which clips the island as it travels further up the Caribbean then turns into a hurricane (for their Caribbean neighbours & US).
I would love to go at this price however prepping the minion for upcoming GCSEs.
Should be a criminal offence the prices the travel industry is allowed to charge during school holidays!! :confused::sunglasses:
