The 5510 automatically adds the discount, which I think is similar to what Dell normally do on Precisions anyway?

Cheeky dell they reduced standard warranty from 3y to 1y + increased the prices slightly. Been on the lookout for m5510 for some time now and seen this offer since 1st June, nothing really worth a bother though...

Really? I thought business machine users expected 3-year warranty for guaranteed TCO/fixed costs over the 3-years (or as close to as) - I certainly did, at least that's why I bought my Latitude when I did.

It was the case so far- but I think they reduced it for the time of promotion. That is the main reason i didn't go for one despite decent pricing. Funilly enough, if you attempt to buy new it gives 3y warranty as standard and on outlet website they say 'same as new warranty'. I tried to argue on chat but didn't get anywhere. Your loss, dell...

Dell prices are ludicrous in the UK. The Pound is starting a new rally cycle which is going to be interesting to see - I suspect that Dell will continue with crazy prices whilst the likes of Lenovo drop their prices in the months ahead.

They no longer offer 3 year warranties as standard on all the higher end Latitudes (7 series) and Precisions for quite a while now even when there are no deals on.
A shame as the 7370 is expensive to start with without paying for a longer warranty.

Depends what you mean by 'a while'. I had one 5510 ordered late April and it had 3y warranty as standard. Had to return it due to faulty screen though (known issue with flickering 4k screen and couldn't fix it with bios downgrade), ah well...

Lenovo dones't have remotely close good price for anything with similar specs.
