No. It comes with one in the box. Decent bit of kit for £50 tbh.

interestingly on today's sds drill deal, sunrise has commented that the hedge trimmer is compatible with their parkside batteries

these are now £29.99 in lidl bootle strand...........plenty of stock too......comes with battery and charger.......other diy stuff reduced as well...compressor and associated tools etc..................little bonus...spend over £20 and free box of washing powder thrown in........(powder is a store reopening after refurb promotion).................i know lidl reductions can be store specific.......but may be of use to some
