If you are sneaky it also pays out on cashback requests. I've always asked for £50 cashback on top of my grocery spend at the till and that tracks as part of the overall spend.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on Santander. They see the cash back request as a separate transaction. I've got lloyds, halifax and Santander accounts
