I actually threw out better specc'd switches than this. I can't see the appeal of this, as was said last time the only good thing about it is it's available cheaper new than second hand!
Still heat for sharing OP!
Personally I decentralised my network and fitted 24 port gigabit Cisco switches in each room, they have since been replaced with 8 port gigabit Netgear units (No fan!)...

That's the biggest issue I have with switches, I have a TP-LINK 24 port mainly because it was fanless but lacks LACP.
My Cisco 3560 is louder than my HP G1610T server.
Out of curiosity which model Cisco switch did you have?

They are all SR2024C, it was cheaper to buy 8 port Netgears than replacement fans!

10/100 is rather dated so make sure you don't need the extra speed before purchase, but if you really need Vlans or the quantity of ports then I guess it is a good deal.

Can anyone suggest something to place in my loft to supply network connections to my bedrooms? I have plasterboard walls and I'm thinking of trying to network the house up.

A good price for a basic 10/100 switch
My advice would be to pay extra and get a GB switch.
10/100 is really not worth installing these day.

The SFP uplinks had me interested, but 100Mbps kills it for me.
Could be a good fit if you have lots of sensors or IoT devices perhaps?
At home I have two Zyxel GS1900-24E fanless Gbit switches, bought for £68 last year. They have LACP [spec here] They run a little warm, but no problems at all.
My core servers are linked with Mellanox 10Gb point to point as 10Gb switches are still too expensive.

I have a couple of these - great switches.
Yes they are only 10/100 but they have gigabit uplinks so you can link them plus have a spare gigabit port to add to other gigabit switches.
I got mine so I can segment my network with Vlan tagging - my stepson is on his own segment and has no access to the main network, my CCTV cameras are isolated to another vlan and the house links to the workshop between the two switches.
All the fast gigabit devices are on separate switches.
These are a nice cheap way to get into managed switches and play with vlans.
