Seems like a great price for the 32GB Global Version.
Quidco/TCB available (thanks to winchman for this)
Caveats
1. There is no meaningful warranty (return to China)*
2. You may get charged Customs duty (the likelihood of this is very much reduced if you choose free shipping)
* compare what sort of mobile you could get for less than 80 quid from a uk-sourced mobile and see the huge difference in spec then decide if a warranty is worth the extra).
Go via Quidco or TCB for a little more money off. Good quality for the money.

a) Not an iPhone
b) Not a Qualcomm processor
c) Not 4GB
d) Not £700+
As it will not be faster, more expensive and intelligent than me(although it might be debatable) have some heat

Never bought this Chinese brand.
Does it come with Chinese Apps pre-installed? If so, easy to disable / remove?
Does it come with Google Play already installed?
Thanks in advance for any watch-outs

My daughter has this phone, and tbh its really good for the money. Camera is definitely a bit better than most budget models in this price range imho.

"we will open the original box to check the phone and install Multi-language ROM and Google play store. The custom rom may not perfect,Not support OTA update, translation may does not cover all the menus. We may update the ROM,so the OS version may different as the screenshots."....I thought that these global versions came sealed and untampered with??

i would either insist on it coming sealed or just be prepared to flash the global ROM on its arrival.
it should be ready to do through the updater app.
this seller is obviously putting a custom ROM on it, which will likely have bloat and dodgy apps on it

It's possible that HK Goldway have a general template for their listings which are mostly China version with Global ROM installed themselves, but have forgot to modify that section to reflect the Global Version differences. Their Redmi Note 4 Global Version listing says the same thing. The paragraph speaks of custom ROM and not supporting OTA updates even though they have stated Official ROM with OTA updates 3 times prior to that section.
Dreami's Redmi 4A listing<< states one of the differences of Global Version is that it is sealed, which is what it should be. This 4A unboxing video<< bought from Gearbest shows a sealed Global Version, that has multi-language, Google Play and is Global ROM on first boot. So HK Goldway would have no reason to tamper with the ROM, but I'm not sure if they still would open since they also say "to check the phone".

I might just pay the extra for the same on banggood for a sealed one...cheers
