Microsoft are going crazy. They want to win the console war!

It's only a couple of weeks until they show the Scorpio. Makes sense to reduce these units before then anyway.

As there's so many of these 'really good deals', I'm beginning to think there maybe be a bigger shake up announcement at E3! Maybe Scorpio will cost less than first anticipated?

I agree. I am a neutral gamer, Sony has been doing so well of late and Microsoft has been silent (sleeping giant). Feel this Scorpio is going to be more amazing then we think, great line up on release, with some great exclusives and a affordable ish price tag. For me, I welcome it, means better gaming for me

too silent and passive for their own good really...no point in having the best looking versions of games if you can't show that! Microsoft hasn't won (or has passed) on the marketing of every big 3rd party multiplat game hitting this year...this means they can't show the likes of cod, battlefront, red dead, far cry, destiny, and anything else you care to mention that's going to grab headlines during E3 and beyond, this year. They can't show the games running on Scorpio, and all advertisements won't acknowledge it's coming out on any xbox's. This is a terrible move when they're trying to sell a new console this year.
