Bought one 6 weeks ago for £172 so this is an excellent deal. Box was a bit tatty but everything else perfect. Forza 6 is great too.

looking at upgrading to an Xbox one and tempted with this especially as it's a 1tb. what's the reliability like for the 1st gen Xbox one? also will I still need a external hard drive with this/how many games can you install on it?

Reliabilty is good, no issue, the additional drive does not give you the info how many games can be installed as the sizes of game files differ. You can do an estimate though.

I daresay Xbox One is probably one of the most reliable modern consoles ever made.
After the X360 RROD debacle AND the fact Xbox One was originally designed to be left on all the time akin to a TV and media box Microsoft ensured the first models of this machine were over-engineered.
Microsoft sources claimed the machine was designed for a continuous 10 year power on state. When you see the beast cooling system, all the ventilation space inside the big case and despite this an external power brick then it is believable.

You can always add an external hd for storage too.

My launch Xbox One is still running fine. Usually on a couple hundred hours a month, whether that be playing or downloading or whatever. Both discs and digital downloads used as well.

The controller has the upgraded rear shell with diamond grip on this one so should feel a lot nicer than the standard 3.5mm pad.

got one, box was very damaged, but everything inside was brand new, you could tell it had never been touched, odd because on the description, said various marks on console.

Purchased this and arrived today. They sent it without the original box, which was stated on the buyer notes and may be repackaged, but it came without the game and with the wrong accessories too. They sent me a black controller with a blue Xbox. The power brick and cables are black too, and the downside is didn't come with Forza.

Condition is as-new.
