WD are one of the biggest sellers of hard drives. White has nothing at all to do with something being Apple compatible. Ones that say Mac on are Mac compatible, but you can reformat hard drives anyway to work on Mac/Windows.

The price has nothing to do with quality, they're priced far higher elsewhere for the exact same item. There have been a few posts now on this, Tesco seem to be randomly reducing certain WD hard drives by various amounts at specific stores. At the 3 stores near me none are marked down in price. Tried scanning one hard drive and it was still full price.

What store was this at and were the prices marked down on the shelf?

Got one yesterday at Springhill Bangor but believe it was the last one.

They had the dummy boxes on display but it took two tries to get it,first time staff didnt know where to find it and then on friday a member of staff remembered me and was able to get it straight away. Good luck.

Our local Tesco doesn't recognise these deals according to the Manager I spoke to.

Just called to confirm two local tesco's - this is an end of line product so the reduced to clear. My local ones don't have any to sell anymore hence it's gone. Price is confirmed at £21 and they DO work with windows, mac, linux and even android (should you dare)

just got two 2tb for 17 pounds each and two 3tb for 25 pounds each in tesco western ave cardiff lady said last ones there so is nationwide if in stock im thinking

So true.. I found the same hdd in my local store and bought one and left the other on the shelf. I know these are yellow Sticker items but people should be grateful. I only got a few negative responses in my post and ironically the next day they had three 24" Toshiba tvs with built in dvd player for £69, so wasn't sure whether to post that aswell as it was again yellow Sticker item (didn't buy any of them as we have a larger tv in the bedroom!) but if people want us to post local deals then share the happiness!!

Hmm may be yellow label clearence in lincoln as this is £21 elsewhere but £17 there nothing in bristol area unfortunatly but i gave the barcode and i was told it is £21 of available but doesnt show ad in stock too bad, any one know is the mybook 2TB desktop ones are reduced or not? There was 2 in syock when i went in bit they scanned it bit said it doesnt come up in their system even a manager couldnt get it to work try as they might , last time about a week ago they were £48

Mybooks 3tb are down to £23/£22 but you may have missed the boat as they are being recalled back to supplier so unable to go thru the system (allegedly)

The white new model ones suddenly went out of stock in the Tesco Llamsamlet store this week. Been in there several times and they were sat on the shelves. After this deal appeared I went to have a nose and the white ones suddenly had gone OOS.
