The Alpha 7 has broken new ground in the full-frame market, in terms of both size and price. While it's not perfect, the a7's compact size, broad feature set and very good raw image quality arguably make up for issues like relatively poor battery life and slightly overprocessed JPEGs.
May I suggest if you are buying this camera you try Wex Photograpic. It is the
same price but they give you an extra years warranty from Sony and you can get cash back @ 2.02%. Total saving about £16 for the cash back and £30 for the warranty.

It's a old model with lots of usability issues including AF. On the plus side, it's a known brand.

Combine with a focal reducer and get yourself an incredibly affordable medium format camera!
It's a full frame camera, not a medium format camera.

I watched the video and the guy says he's seen some shops selling it new for '600 bucks'. What currency is he talking about, is this a price before sales tax?

That allows you to mount medium format lenses. You're still only capturing a full frame size image. A reducer doesn't give you a MF camera.
You're also adding more glass so likely adding distortion, reducing light, etc.

That's not what I said. By using a focal reducer with this full frame camera it gives off the look and feel of a medium format which before full frame mirrorless was impossible due to flange distances being too large.
