Good price but 'Simply' batteries are not very good.

'Simply' is another term for 'No frills'

you can get 12 good to go rechargeable batteries from 7dayshop for £7. They will last for many recharges. so better value.

Add the cost of charger to that for some, the inconvenience of waiting for them to charge after the first use and the fact that some devices do not work well with rechargeable batteries (I have tried and tested). Personally, I need 180 AAA batteries for one specific task so rechargeables are not always the solution.

Ikea, Wilko or even Primark branded alkaline batteries outperform Duracell Simply ones and they are cheaper.

The Wilko batteries are rubbish. CPC are good when they bring the prices down now and again.

99% still is £1. It's just the 1% that isn't.

Cold - they have always been this price in Poundland (sometimes they make it a minimum purchase offer).
Better capacity batteries can be had much cheaper (Duracell is a good brand, however Duracell Simply range is not!)
I would recommend Ikea branded batteries, there are many battery comparison sites out there and Ikea brand comes out best £/mAh....

Nope, Duracell Simply is worse than Wilko's
Duracell Simply: 1908 mAh
Ikea Alkalisk: 2269 mAh
Wilko powerplus EXTRA: 2033mAh
I knew somebody would reply with a link to a table of data on some website. I have tried Wilko batteries in a real World environment and they are crap. That's the long and short of it regardless of what your lovely table says.

Poundland have done 6 AA kodak alkalines for £1 which are better batteries and cheaper but even if they are only 4 in the pack still better than this offer.

I always buy my AAA and AA batterys from poundland, kodak alkaline batterys are great, and sometimes you get 2 extra batterys free! Refuse to buy anything else.
