This is Morrisons normal price for 2kg of sugar & it is a bargain.

It's time to make elderflower champagne or cordial, people - get out there and gather ye fronds and bung a bit of this in there and five of you'll be pie-eyed for a pound. This is enough sugar for 10 litres at 11.2%, just zhushh it up with some lemons and oranges and it really is lovely. I'm genuinely thinking of doing a full 50 litre keg this year as they're so easy to gather.
And ignore that about getting citric acid from a chemist - if you haven't got a corner shop that sells it go to Wilko and go to the laundry section and you can get a 250g box for £1.50 - DON'T make the mistake of getting it from the homebrew section. And yes, it's food grade but not labelled as such. It's very moreish.
