it's not the size of your load that's important but the quality.

our kitchen is full of Siemens appliances and I can tell you this stuff is ultra reliable, not the usual white goods that need replacing every few years

My experience has been quite the opposite. Had a Siemens washing machine with a 5 year warranty. Must have had the engineers out 5 times in the warranty period. Each time having to wait for THEIR engineer which was minimum 3 days, sometimes a week. Always problems with an F20 code. It was a really poor machine, the worst I've had. And it's all well and good having a 5 year warranty but not when you are obliged to await the official engineers. Would rather have had a cheaper machine that 'anyone' can fix to be honest.

Its actually an Extra 3 years gurantee on top of the 2 John Lewis includes making it 5yrs in total, those extra 3 are direct with Siemens
I have the same model, all be it a few years older, and its been great. I went for it as it was a quality brand and came with a 5yr Siemens warranty, bought it from AO for a similar price to this if I remember correctly

You're paying for quality not capacity, maybe some buyers should stick to their 'disposable' Hotpoint washers.

USED to be very reliable. Mine is over 11 - don't think a new one will see anything like that life unfortunately.
Maybe I'm cheap but I see it as insane paying more than £300 for a washer and even then I think that's high, it's a simple machine that just churns your clothes with soap? We're still using a Proline from the late 90's that cost around £180 and it is still running well.
