These things consume power (albeit a small amount) all the time. Even more worrying are these cheap ones which may not be properly certified. Best avoided.

I would think farnell still stock good quality certified products, doubt they would risk it... Though could be wrong

..Why would the wall socket have to be type C, thus destroying the "Universal" in USB? Just use a USB A to USB C cable.

Hard to find an A to C usb cable for quick charge and would be nice for a type c socket :smiley:
