Pre-orders have gone live over on Steam, with the usual 10% discount thrown in for those who want to secure an early copy. I really hope this ends up being the Sonic game we've been waiting for, as previews have been generally optimistic so far saying it's the old-school-like experience we fondly remember.
Seriously, I'm crossing everything.

Genuinely can't wait for this. I've got the collector's edition pre-ordered on Amazon for Xbox One.
Happy days, heated

It'll be interesting to see christian whitehead studios creating a brand new sonic game, they've done great things with the android remakes

£15.99 for consoles mate. Probably best to bring that price down with some CDKeys credit. [PS4 ] [ Xbox One ]

Really excited to see how this turns out. Really hoping this can be a great new start for Sonic. The game looks absolutely spot on for 16 bit Sonic, just hope they have nailed the gameplay as well.
Heated deal, really impressed the price is so low, they could have probably got away with charging more considering the hype this is generating and I was fearing the worst with the crazy price the special edition is going for on console (£80 on Amazon last time I looked!) but £13.49 is really reasonable.
The only thing that gives me a tiny bit of pause for thought is that Sonic has always been a console game at heart and a console version would feel more true to the originals, that said as Sega sadly seem out of the hardware business for good I guess no platform can claim to be the true home of the hedgehog...

I can't see how not playing it on a console makes any difference. Anyway I played this at EGX last year and the gameplay is that mega drive sonic you know and love, the physics are spot on.

FWIW, Sonic 3 was £49.99 - back then, too - when I got it for Christmas. Still worth every penny.
