great camera, got mine just after Christmas with a bunch of accessories for just over £425 and it has been a trooper! things to note: not weather sealed, you can unlock the 30 minute video limit (see Reddit page), lenses can be found cheap at CEX, 4k but not cinematic 4k, and finally no high frame rate for crispy slow mo :disappointed:

Surely it must be possible to buy the camera with just a single lens, even a 20mm lens is over £150. What use is a camera without a selection of lenses?

Of every use, to those invested in the M43 ecosystem with an existing body they are upgrading, maybe?

it is possible ofc to buy it with a lens
but if you already have lenses then why would you want the same lens again?

A lot of people like to buy body only, and then choose a better lens than a 'kit lens' or one that suits their use more. Or as other have said, may own or have access to suitable lens already. Lens sharing is a great way amongst friends, buy one lens each and swap around as required rather than everyone spending loads on a collection of glass.

Yes kit lenses are often good value for money. You will often find them on ebay because people like me by them when the camera + kit lens cost little more (and in rare cases even less) than the bare body.
This is a good deal, but bear in mind that panasonic often do summer cashback (and double cashback) deals which imo are well worth waiting for. But who knows??

Not for me, lens sharing may be useful to find out what lenses are useful, but lenses are delicate! People don't know how/whether to clean lenses. I'm afraid I wouldn't trust even a friend with my lenses. Especially when they cost a lot more than the price of the camera!

tbh i just dont get how someone with an ilc and multiple expensive lenses doesn't understand a body only option
