Great deals at portable chargers at bm stores! National deal and my local had a lot of stock! I went for the optimum 8000mAh for £4 but there were also other deals! -Optimum portable charger 4000mAh reduced to £3 http://www.bmstores.co.uk/products/optimum-portable-charger-4000mah-311994 -Energizer power bank micro reduced from £5.99 to £3! - Intempo power bank 4000mAh reduced from £7.99 to £3!

I'm guessing it could be because they're described as portable chargers rather than power banks as they're more commonly known. Obviously not OP's error as it's B&M's description.

I have one I brought it when it was £7.99! It works great! Couldn't be happier with it I might even go get another one to give as gift!

Plenty of them in Crawley, a few of them on hooks above the shelves and a big box full on a lower shelf behind the 4000mAh ones. The price label says reduced to £7.99, but mine went through the till fine at £4. Thanks OP!
I bought two on sale at £7.99 a few weeks ago. We use them often, can get more than the advertised 4 full charges. Although they can take a while to charge themselves, so I just do it overnight.

Picked up two just now. Not tested them yet, but they look and feel decent quality. Cheers OP!

I got 2 the other day. Made in china, but feels decent quality. Keep hold of the receipt there is a year guarantee on all electrical items.

I plugged mine into my Linx 1010 yesterday. It charged it from 90% to 99% and held it there for 5 hours. I was using the tablet for most of that time and with the supplied mains USB charger it would have been gradually losing charge. That pretty much proves that it was delivering the full 2.1A.
I was so impressed with the performance of this unit that I went back today and bought a second one.
Still quite a few left in Crawley, along with plenty of the 4000mah version at £3. (See my earlier post for their location)

I picked one of these up for £4 from B&M a few days ago. It seems to work pretty well. Fully charges my Sony Xperia X twice. Can't complain at that.

Some reviews (good and bad) for these when posted here at full price last year
