Dreadful insurance policy. Broke my arm on holiday with family and they were not bothered at all. Left us to sort ourselves out. Pity because l went with the Debenhams name but l believe it is actually with another organisation. I would avoid.

The voucher for my 2016 insurance was a joke. I had to pester them for mine. Took 1 year to get it!

Its worth nothing that Quidco offers 18% for annual cover and 10% for single cover so it you have an annual policy over £24 its worth going through Quidco.

Looks like you also have to phone and report any condition not on their waived list, anything you have ever been prescribed medication for.... It's nothing to with Debenhams, but Rock insurance group.
I tried to claim on my Debenhams Gold, and they weaseled their pay out of paying.
Actually read the policy document and really well too. An annual travel policy for anywhere in the world including the UK; except every section has the exclusion that you can't claim for anything that occurs within the UK - hence how exactly does that cover UK holidays?!?
Currently pursuing a mis-selling claim against them, as I specified cover in UK and was advised to take a Gold policy over the phone.

It's with the flex plus account. It's £10 a month. I currently hold a flex plus account and have for the past many years. The services are good, my car needed to go to a garage, got a replacement car for 2 days whilst mines went for repair :smiley:

I was very disappointed with the insurance I got from them last year. I'd booked accommodation with low-cost holidays before they went bang (didn't realise they were no longer abta/atol as they had been). they agreed they would pay out the £900 or so less the excess which I thought was £150 - it was... per person. and as it was a family holiday with 4 of us travelling, the excess was £600. fortunately my debit card issuer refunded the full amount and I didn't lose out.

Just checked again direct with Debenhams, and its only show Gold, Silver or Bronze policies for me - I went with the gold as it had the lowest excess, but its still £150, compared with £180 and £190 respectively with the other 2.

It also had the highest cancellation cover (£3000), incase anything happens with our August holiday.

Quote still coming out at £52.52 compared to the £34.99 i paid.

Are you sure it's the same policy? There's still an excess on the Gold policy through MoneySupermarket whereas if you go direct with Debenhams they have a Luxury policy with £0 excess. I'd imagine some of the cover would be different also.

Just got our annual (europe) travel insurance with Debenhams for £34.99 for a family of 3 for their top (gold) policy, but went through a comparison site. Also qualified for the £15 Debenhams voucher (yet to arrive).

Quote direct from Debenhams was almost double for the same policy/level of cover.

Try comparison websites for worldwide. You can get it for under £30.

Initially looks like an amazing price - I paid near on £60 but that was for worldwide and low excess cover from a top rated company.

£96 for my quote for a couple aged 43 & 41 for a Mexico Holiday for 2 weeks in June. No medical conditions , no extra cover / sports cover or anything.
Same cover for this trip with LOWER excess of just £50 , instead of £175 excess at Debenhams , is £30.
May work for some on European destinations but even if you threw in a £30 voucher this policy would still cost almost double.
