Asda have price matched this at £15, just seen them in the Crewe store but no points obviously.

Still loads in stock in Hull, St Stephens. Got myself 3 boxes (nine months of viewing), for £45, £15 back in clubcard points, plus £3 per box from CEX, so that's nine months of viewing for £21. Job's a good 'un!

I'm not bothered about sky atlantic after twin peaks ends!

Can anyone confirm if the following is doable?

Set up this box on a new account
Take the 2 months entertainment for the price of 1 that now tv are offering on their site
Cancel that before it runs out so I only pay £6.99 for 2 months
Then apply the 3 month code that came with this?

Voted cold, oos online for both. Reports on other forums oos in stores so another wild goose chase!

Although very limited usability outside Sky's ecosystem now due to dev option and usb port blocking - dam good hardware inside and box is super smooth, it's actually a ROKU box subsidised by Sky (if you didn't know), don't expect a solution anytime soon for those who want to tinker. Good deal though...Wish there was a way to flash it with ROKU f/ware, not bad for the free apps.

If i already have a Now box but my subscription has ended, can I use this for the code and then sell the box? Whats the box worth with no code? (£5?)

The codes DO have an expiry date, I had to call SKY up as my 6 Month code expired. They asked me a few questions and the serial number of the box, and then issued me another code. You can also call them, or live chat, and they will give you the expiry date.

As to selling the box. You could split it up, or have a 2nd remote. The PSU may come in useful, also a HDMI cable is included.

Good deal. I always buy one when ShopTo do them for around £10 and share my account with a friend or two, as long as only two watch at once.

If you have a router that has a VPN built in, then I guess you could use it in the states.

A good tip is to cancel the service AS SOON as you can after applying the code, and it will run until it the expiry date. No chance of being charged, if you forget.

Never used now tv before, but got free passes with 'snatch' then got an email for free refurbished box.

After taking the usb/plex options away from users I can imagine sales took a dip. I just get the code and points then throwing the box.

Can confirm that it's in store as well just went in a brought movie one and got 515 clubcard points. They had movies, entertainment, sport and kids boxes (not sure which ones are in the deal) so if entertainments showing out of stock for you online maybe worth checking your local Tesco!

Is there a time limit as to when you can activate the code? OOS at the moment though.

Just so you know, you can no longer side load applications like Plex onto these.

Entertainment pack is OOS but the CInema pack is still in stock. That 500 clubcard points using the voucher exchange gives us £20 towards Folly Farm! Cheers!!

just looking on ebay, folk offering half price monthly sky sports codes which looks tempting but not sure how legit that is

so what happens after the 3 months? do I have to phone up and cancel to prevent a 4th month charge? also does the 3 month free start from when I purchase or when I setup?

Scratch that- it took the entertainment box out of my basket at check out as it's sold out. Bought 2 of the movie boxes instead as we use both.

They stopped the Clubcard Boost last year in May. So that's no longer an option.

Yeah, Tesco did the £19.99 bundles until recently as I bought one. This appears to be the best 'deal' around for the moment but I'm sure it'll be back to the £20 mark soon enough. Guess it boils down to how much you like pizza (or the wait for the club card boosts). :smiley:

That's the idea, but make sure you check after May 21st, how long they keep catch-up.
Sometimes they keep catch-up for 1 week, sometimes for few months.

This is good money-saving advice :smiley: I hadn't really thought about how long they'd keep it on catch-up, so we'd need to start our subscriptions about 3 weeks after Twin Peaks starts - so, the 11th June.

I did quick calculation. May 21st to Sep 3rd is 106 days. Now TV usually has the episodes for 28 days. So you only need pass for 78 days. So 3 months is enough.

But at this price/offer, good to buy another.
