A new eShop sale has gone live today - and with decent reductions on many Capcom games and some other indie titles.
In my opinion the standouts are the three Ace Attorney games, Resident Evil Revelations and DuckTales Remastered.
Hopefully there won't be too many objections...

Re: the Phoenix Wright discussion, not only is it great that you can own five out of six main games on the 3DS and they're all great versions, but also there are great discounts on all of them this week.
I am in agreement with blizzard7, the original trilogy is worth going back to if you can still enjoy the gameplay (worst case scenario, just stop). It'll give more backstory and character development and even though it's designed to be played from the beginning you may get a few different surprises and references now you know the characters already.
My big disappointment with this series is that 4 (Apollo Justice) is still not available digitally on 3DS like all the other main games, but for those that want to know what happens in that one before moving on to 5 (I think it's worth it though it's not essential) I can recommend a youtube playthrough which is almost entirely voiced, very well edited, and quite an interesting journey. I have no affiliation but I watched the entire game (first time I've ever watched a whole game instead of playing it) and thoroughly enjoyed it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtnT-agTqwA (the user is NicoB if the link breaks)
Bit of a lengthy comment but I hope that helps.

fair bit of filler but what eshop sale isn't full of filler. Phoenix wright games tick, Resi revelations tick (still stands up considering it was a pretty early release) Mega man legacy collection at that price double tick. heat.

Shame the Spirit of Justice DLC isn't on sale.

I loved Dual Destinies now I'm just wondering if I should move on to Spirit of Justice or the Original Trilogy. Thoughts?

I was in the same boat as you and went from Dual Destinies to the original Trilogy.
The Trilogy has some fantastic storylines as you'd expect. However, you have to bear in mind that you will be going backwards in terms of features.
If you get Game Over, you restart at your last save instead of where you left off, meaning you could end up right back at the start of the chapter. There's also a bit less variety in the gameplay and I also found myself not knowing what to do more often.
If you can look past these flaws, you'll definitely enjoy it, especially at this price. However, I wouldn't blame you if you went straight for Spirit of Justice!

I'd recommend playing the whole lot in order, I haven't finished SoJ yet but I've played the rest (except Great Ace Attorney and PL vs PW). I'd recommend you play everything including Apollo Justice and the two Ace Attorney Investigations games, they're all great games.

Is there any updates in graphics of the Trilogy on 3DS?

Yes there was some to make it look sarper. I bought it along with Duel Destinies a few years back now, while on offer. Still not played DD because I want to do the trilogies again first. Just need Apollo Justice to be remade for the 3ds now

The graphics are widescreen which is an upgrade from the DS version, but again it's a step back from Dual Destinies. We're talking 2D sprites and flat environments.
