Thats how NAD describe the product, im sure the digital circuit only relates to the USB output tho. Otherwise its a normal phono stage.

This kind of pre-amp will boost the signal coming from a record player, so that it plays correctly on a device that doesnt have a phono input, like powered speakers or an AV receiver.

I'm deliberating about this. I have a large vinyl collection I've been meaning to convert to digital for a while now.
Thought this included a full conversion software, but seeing kester76's post above it's just a lite version - need to spend another £29 for the ability to create MP3 or ACC.
Are there other cheaper (or better) software options for a Mac?
Or do I need this amp? Already have a full hifi setup, but my amp (Marantz PM6004) doesn't have USB out. Are there other ways to hook up to my Mac?
Looking for convenience really, but don't want to go down the cheap ION USB turntable route.
