Not so much a "deal" as it's on all the time and always the same price, but thought it would be good to point out the incredible wealth of tours on offer in one of the world's most underrated cultural, scientific and academic metropolises. They really are incredibly varied, there are many different tours happening every day, so always something new to learn. Treat your own city/one in your own country as a tourist destination and you'll be thrilled and astonished what there is to discover.

How much pressure are you put under to give a tip?

none, as you have paid for the tour.

That doesn't follow at all, as you will know if you've been on guided tours.

I have been on many tours in Manchester both free ones (often funded by ththe council as we have a very pro-culture, pro-history council) and paid and never felt under pressure to tip.
