I'm surprised they honoured it! A few months ago I bought an eyeshadow pallet which was 2.99 and I noticed it went through at 5.99. I told them at the till and actually took a member of staff it where they were.. and she just said oh yeah someone's put the wrong price there.. sorry it's 5.99. So I got a refund. Was really annoyed as where I work if there's a price error we always honour it. Anyway fantastic buy!!!! (highfive)

I used to work in the Admin office for Morrisons and the law dictates that if a product is labelled and priced at a value that a customer then attempts to purchase it for, the original price must be honoured. There are certain exclusions, for example you couldn't put your own price on a car costing £9999 for £1, obviously.

Hi Steve, sorry to be a fly in the ointment but that's not legally the case.
If you take an item to the till and are told the price on the tag or label is a mistake, you don’t have a right to buy the item at the lower price. You could still try asking the seller to honour the price.
It’s the same if you see an item advertised anywhere for a lower price than the one on the price tag.

It can legally be challenged in a court of law, should you wish to pursue, most companies would avoid the hassle. It's false advertisement which is a breach of trading standards and the sales of goods act.
