I have the B6 and its a fantastic TV paid £1900 in November but that was from RS with a good 6 year warranty and its a fantastic TV but with the cost you want to make sure your covered when things go wrong so i wouldn't touch a tv with a 1 year warranty of a Currys 5 year as its not worth the paper its written on. My TV had a fault where the picture was awful and it looked very grainy and yellow they replaced the entire screen and the input board and its now as good as it should of been. I know i could of demanded a new tv but they came to my house and did it they didnt damage the set in anyway and its still covered by RS warranty so im happy, its been good for 3 months now without issue.
Seems like most people did have them tho once they checked on the know how website and chased them up etc. But i can see your point not what you want to be doing especially if anything go's wrong and its not a touch on richer sounds service im sure
Not so much issues with the warranty, rather clarity on where details of the warranty are held. Most in that thread seem to be happy once it was pointed out where they could find the details.

And you don't get left with garbage warranty terms.
