Until Wed 14 June You can get this iD Mobile* Sim. And it's for new and existing customers (who are out of contract).
For £10/mth you get 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts and 5GB of 4G data. You can choose a one-month 'ShockProof' contract, meaning you can limit your bill to no more than £5 over the tariff price. Alternatively go for a one-month 'Go-To' plan meaning you can roll your unused data over into the next month.
Quidco £5, TopCashback £5.25.

As an alternative, Mobilesdirect.co.uk is offering unlimited/unlimited/4GB at £6 a month after manually claimed cashback on a 12-month contract with 3 (the provider behind iD). And there's £10 Topcashback, too.
Shame it was £5 a couple of days ago...

Are you able to use this free of charge abroad? i.e. 3 Feel at home?
There is a similar offer on Topcashback with 3 to use abroad. Least ways there is if the cashback works.
You need an Advanced Three plan to use in USA etc

Hi vassy1,

Heat from me, I joined last week on the 2500/5000/3GB deal for £8, I've submitted a request to this plan, £2 for 2GB more and rollover data is a bargain for me, I was gonna be tight with 3GB not now lol HEAT op!
It does from June 15th? EU roaming, I'm sure the roaming on ID will change to something like [email protected] soon on monthly sims and not just 12 month sim or concerts, every network is offering something
JonBetts2004
31 May 17#27
I believe the agreement coming into place in June just means that people will pay the same price abroad than they would at home. I don't think it means that their UK allowances will also cover their usage in the EU as well. I think the main reason IDMobile hasn't done something like Feel At Home is because their prices are extremely good already.

From Plusnet
From 15th June, we’ll be switching on EU roaming for you. This means you’ll be able to use your monthly plan allowance just like you do at home in any EU destination,
seaniboy
31 May 171#29
No home allowances are included to any EU country call or text while roaming in EU, charged as per home where no allowances exist/run out - except permanent roaming in one country where they can charge out of allowance rates.

As do most. I have a much better signal than EE on the same base station transmitter, people factor in all sorts. You can take a £5 cap with Shockproof or if like me you check usage daily it shouldn't be a problem, the ID Mobile app is easy to login with it asking for digits from a 6 digit pin.
I choose Go-To with data rollover yes it's minus the spend cap, but because I keep my eyes on all my bills it's no issue
The fact I can login online or app is great, a contact page for requests and I've had good help on calls (bit iffy when ID started) in last 7/8 months.
I would easily recommend them, care is definitely better than (ironically!) Three!!

Same experience here - they are a bunch of crooks. They got a debt recovery company to try and collect payment from me for an additional month even though they took out the equivalent of 5 months payment straight out of my bank account for only 2 weeks use. They still wanted another month's payment even though I informed them after 2 weeks that they could not deliver what I expected and that I no would be using them. I have switched to a company that has no contractual commitment I can auto renew or not whenever I like and switch plans any time I liked with no penalty and is still cheaper than these scoundrels.

Be warned ID mobile are Carphone Warehouse. I have suffered first hand with their dreadful non existent customer service during my time with talkmobile they owned years ago. Because of this horrendous 23 month ordeal with them, I haven't and won't ever buy a 2 year deal again. I would avoid carphone Warehouse like the plague. I wouldn't even want to be with them for 30 days, you can bet it'll be more by the time they mess up your disconnection etc.
Be warned.

A year ago my phone contracted ended with ID Mobile. I asked to change to SIM only and they said I had to port out, then back in. However they did not count on Three Pay As You Go offering me a contract, with the same data and minutes. So stayed with Three. ID must loose loads of costumers from this, too other network. As well they have still not changed there policy.

I wouldn't touch ID mobile. I took out a SIM only contract. It was not their fault that 3 network didn't work on my phone. I sent them an E Mail the day I got the SIM to cancel the contract, fortunately I also cancelled the direct debit. I had 12 days of the 14 days cooling off period left. They acknowledged the E Mail and that I wanted to cancel but said I had to call a number, which was not free to me, to talk to their disconnection team.
I had proof that I had told them I wanted to cancel, so did not phone. Numerous bills and E Mails later they still had not cancelled the contract and wouldn't to do so without me wasting time and money on the phone. They asked me nothing more on the phone than I had put in my E Mails, and they still refused to cancel the contract, just put it on 30 day disconnection. They have so far failed to issue the 'deadlock' letter for the ombudsman, which I have now requested twice, although the ombudsman has now recorded the complaint.
Their 'customer service' team need to be better trained.
seaniboy to Paulmzrider
3 Jun 17#64
Should have called Ofcom and lodged a complaint that CarPhoneWarehouse top level receive. You still can, you know the Ombudsman is paid by ID Mobile for using its services right ? It's far from impartial as a Ombudsman should be.

Sorry I didn't keep the text message with the price info but it was high enough to keep it in aeroplane mode for the duration of the holiday (this was last August). Don't expect any perks just because they use the 3 network either. Having just looked they certainly weren't what is currently suggested on the iD site. I've just ported from iD to the recent 5Gb Virgin sim deal today - I couldn't fault iD though considering all the bad press and probably wouldn't have bothered changing if this deal had popped up sooner.

Why is not (apparently) possible to have a shockproof cap and data rollover on the same plan?
There is no obvious reason why this should be the case - data rollover is an attractive feature, while, given ID's reputation, shockproof billing seems necessary.

Expect I'd mobile deals to cost an extra £5 on top. I was with them and had three Sims for the family and I had to add £5 top up to each one. No matter how careful I was my £5 would magically disappear on all Sims. I'd is a rip off. Be warned !!!

Thank you iDMobile for replying - I don't have an account, and have just signed up my family for five sims on BT Mobile (on their EE network) each with 6GB/unlimited/unlimited for £42 per month, no rollover, but I can manage all sims on one place and set a spending limit on each one too.
It just seems strange when I tried to sign up for iDMobile that one has to choose between either Rollover or Shockproof - neither of which seems incompatible with the other, hence my query as to why this is presented as a binary choice. Perhaps something to feedback to your marketing folk.
Opening post
For £10/mth you get 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts and 5GB of 4G data. You can choose a one-month 'ShockProof' contract, meaning you can limit your bill to no more than £5 over the tariff price. Alternatively go for a one-month 'Go-To' plan meaning you can roll your unused data over into the next month.
