Another brilliant value school holiday deal, this time from Bristol. Leaving Bristol on 17 August and returning 24 August.
You fly into Olbia in Sardinia and I've included a four door car hire for the duration as I think this is a good way to get around and the accommodation includes free parking.
The accommodation is the ://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g2482920-d6411542-Reviews-Residence_Bunte-Murta_Maria_Province_of_Olbia_Tempio_Sardinia.html which is situated just metres away from the beach. The room also has a sea view and there are great reviews and ratings, a great bargain.
Flights are with Easyjet which have generous hand luggage allowance but if you need a hold bag then this will be extra cost.
£571 hotel book on Booking.com ( with all associated fees total price is £758)
Total £1216.49/£304.12pp

Check the reviews on Welcome Car rental. Some of the smaller operators don't have the best reviews.
We did Sardinia last summer. The family loved it. We rented a car through Thrifty. They used to be part of Budget. Last summer it was €352 for two weeks in a Peugeot 5008 (pay on pickup).
If you venture in Porto Cervo for dinner, I would recommend Aruana Churrascaria (expensive but delicious and a great night out) and Spinnakers. Both need a reservation.
Beaches - we liked White Beach - clear waters, free parking and you can usually get a free spot before 11ish or after 3pm

Seems to be pretty standard. When I was in NZ a bond of $2500 was swiped on my card and it was a rent-a-wreck type place. Took out seperate insurance to cover excess elsewhere just in case. Just make sure with the seperate insurance companies they cover hire cars over 10 yrs old as some only cover cars up to 10 years old.

Thanks OP. Just booked flights for the family 3rd-17th August. I hadn't realised they were so low. Thankfully, we can stay with friends, so the summer holiday's now sorted on a shoestring.

When I click on the link, it says that I have to book accommodation via Easy Jet - how do I select an option just for the flights (so that I can then go to Booking.com for accommodation)? Thank you.
