It is always on, however, I was about to purchase an item for £120, if I hadn't seen this post I would not have waited until tomorrow. So thanks OP.

When I worked there back when I was at college, we were always told to offer batteries to make up this offer as these were the cheapest items. Not sure if that's still the case, but they're always handy to have around
EDIT: They're £3, but light bulbs start from £2 and Sim cards from £1.

On the offer page it states: "Redeem between the 26th April & 24th May" (or could well be from the previous deal?)

Does money spent with gift cards count? I have a card off my insurance firm to buy some items I lost

Yes, as long as it meets their £50 or £100 spend after applying your gift cards - from point 24 of their T&Cs:
"24. If a discount is applied to an order i.e. a promotional code/gift card, staff discount, card service promotional discount which takes the order value to less than qualifying amount for the promotion then no promotional code/gift card will be issued. For example if an order is worth £59.99 but a £10 promotional code/gift voucher is issued, the value of the order (excluding delivery charge) equates to £49.99 which is below the required value for a £5 promotional code/gift voucher. However if an order is worth £100.99 and a £10 promotional code/gift voucher is used, taking the value of the order to £99.99 a £5 promotional code/gift voucher will be issued as is still over the £50 qualifying value."
