Same price on Thomann with more colour options. Amazon have a couple of different colours with a rosewood fretboard for a few pounds less. Most retailers are putting these out around £500, give or take a few pounds, but Standard Mex Strats can be had without too much digging around for between £460-£470.

there are other colours available for £466. it does not say USA strat so must be Mexican. I personally think its too expensive for a Mexican strat, but having said that the US models are £600-£800. you can get a quality used Mexican strat for £300-£350.
however, if this is your first guitar purchase and you want a new one, It's not a bad price.

I really don't think this is a good deal at all. You could get a decent American second hand for this.

This is a beautiful colour! Wanted a telecaster in this colour before but ended up buying an old Korean Squire Tele for some reason lol

Good guitar if you absolutely must buy new. But my advice is always to be patient and buy second hand. I've just picked up a 2012 American Standard HSS Strat with the Custom shop fat 50 pickups and a diamondback humbucker. Literally brand new condition with all stickers still in tact, case, tags the lot... For £500! The person selling was a friend of a friend but the American Standards are a better guitar if you can get one at a good price.

It's the same model, but not the same spec by a million miles!

Yes. In the same way that Lewis Hamilton drives a Mercedes.

Ha, very good, but I have one of these guitars myself (a Mexican Strat, that is) and it is genuinely a lovely thing. No doubt the American is better but on a limited budget this is great.
Mine cost slightly less than this about 10 years ago.
As it happens, I bought it as Frusciante played one too - this video being the reason I bought it (mine is Tobacco Sunburst):
Who cares where it was made? They're all mass produced by workers who are paid peanuts, there is no love and care into any of these guitars. Even these £5000 guitars are made in the same places by the same people who couldn't give a crap. It's not like one made in the US was hand crafted by some famous artist and it's a one off...
