Yes god forbid someone helps people to save money on this site.
Games are an unlimited digital commodity. Pre-orders allow publishers to rush out unfinished games. We've seen many, many instances of this in the last few years, from both big and small publishers, established franchises and new games.
This is a new game for a relatively new platform (VR). Waiting for reviews seems highly advantageous here. Maybe you'll lose £5 by paying more at launch, but you'll save £35 if it turns out to be a dud.
