The PC disc version comes with a code to activate the game on Steam. The disc itself only allows you install part of the game instead of downloading it but what you're really buying is the code.

Anyone interested in running mods, this is a great list and guide:
bought this a few weeks ago, i suspect crack and heroin are less addictive, before playing, install the sim settlements mod, takes a lot of the micro management out of the game.

Anyone wanting a higher frame-rate, the first option to lower is Godrays.
Taking just a smidgen off Shadow Distance also works wonders.

Bah, it's a really tempting proposition at this price but I've waited this long and I've got other videogames to keep me occupied for the time being... Roll on 'GOTY'!!!

the settlement building is very good. As well as addictive and time consuming! take A look on YouTube of some of the settlements people have built.
