It's not even a case of only being good for low end systems (if you're building a low end PC you don't really need 16GB of RAM in the first place), unless something drastic has changed in the last year or so the number of applications where DDR4 RAM speed are going to be a bottleneck are still very rare and not something a lot of users will encounter.

But yeah, this is a good deal, I actually picked up a set earlier this week. Unless you know you have a need for even faster RAM or want a better looking set for your machine's aesthetics, there's a not a lot of reason to spend more on a 16GB kit. Hot from me.

Yeah it can certainly offer a small benefit at times, but that's not the same as saying 2133MHz RAM is only suited to low end systems because it will happily do the job at almost all levels of usage :smiley:

Agreed, I've used Crucial RAM in every computer I've built or owned since 2011. Only ever had one defective module which they promptly replaced.

The money is almost always better spent going towards a better processor or graphics card. I'm not sure price/performance wise it's worth considering high speed ram unless you are building a top end system or you have a specific use case that requires it.

Consider ram price doesn't change that much with speed. It's worth it to get at least 2800mhz. Not to mention you won't need to replace ram as regular as CPU and GPU while it can have 10% plus different in fps. But it's hard to say now the ram price almost doubled
