Seems a good price £39.99 considering the size of the LCD screen and it has a tilt / swivel action as well. It's on clearance so out of stock for home delivery but in stock for collection at plenty of postcodes. Has great reviews (4.6 / 5) can be plugged into mains or a car cigarette lighter charger or run off the rechargeable battery that lasts 2 hours. Also comes with a remote control too
Great for car journeys with the kids

HD screen on a DVD player? Novel concept / marketing speak. Seems reasonable price for what it is, but can't help thinking it's £40 that could buy or be put towards something more flexible. Same price for random Amazon-fulfilled item has slighly larger (HD) screen and can play file containers such as MP4, MP3, DIVX etc, sd card slot, integral radio, remote control, etc https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DGIZJ86/

Now we know the description was wrong (kinda obvious anyway), shouldn't it be corrected on here?

Nice retro device if you still have DVDs or CDs hidden away somewhere.
Great for showing the kids what it was like in the old days when we used to get films and music on discs.

Good price but dated tech - who even buys DVDs these days?

Keep up with the times. Dated tech in the new trend. Look at the return of vinyl, the rebirth of the Nokia 3310 and the increase in sales of spam.
I'm looking forward to the return of CRT.

Surely at this price wouldn't you be better of buying a cheapy tablet that could play movies? I mean it's a nice novel solution but I can't imagine it's the best solution to the problem.
