Cheapest I've seen it for PC, well worth the price, still very active and updated regularly, a lot more enjoyable on PC compared to my PS4 (in my opinion). (Origin required to play the game)

Dunno how you can say the game was unpolished when it launched in one of the best states I can remember for any game in recent times. Runs like butter, looks amazing. You not liking it as much as BF4 doesn't somehow make it lazy, sure it could have more unlocks, but if that's all your playing it for maybe your not enjoying the game as much as you think and just like the grind.

Not my experience I have to say, I've put in 160 hours since February and have never had a problem, always full teams, never struggle to find a game. I only play on authorised DICE servers so maybe that is the difference. I have also seen Global Fairfight kicking people from games often so looks like the anti cheat system is doing something useful.
My main issue is team balancing, it is very noticably poor, once you get to a certain level of skill where you're good but not killing it you will consistently put on the lower skilled side. This means I end up winning 1, losing 3 and then it realises I'm not a one man team and rebalances me back to a stronger side where it begins again. I've been switched mid game before and if i'm ever playing with my platoon members we'll always be put on the worse side.
Anyway, heat, because I bought it for £30 and have definitely had my money's worth.

It still has a very active community, along with BF4
It also has Fairfight and BattleEye I believe?

On official DICE servers I've never come across a 'cheater', in fact, in all my time through BF3, BF4 and BF1, I've not come across a single hacker on the official servers, I have no idea what you're talking about.

With respect, you have no clue what you're talking about. This game has the most efficient anti-cheat technology I've seen on pretty much any game from the last few years apart from CSGO.

Quick Answer:- Overall in the end not as good a BF4, I wouldn't bother. Its a nice change from Modern Warfare with some beautiful maps etc but once the novelty wears off you're left with a pretty basic, boring and slightly annoying uncompetitive game.
I pre-ordered premium and put in ALOT of hours (even played the beta with multiple accounts). I've got bored of it, I don't like the random bullet deviation and much prefer BF4's damage model and recoil mechanics. You have limited weapon choice, cant choose from multiple attachments. BF1 has been dumbed down for the masses, very slow DLC content releases. EA really didn't put anywhere near as much effort into this as BF4 and it shows. To me it seems like a bit of a money grab with the developers spending too much effort on the Star Wars games before and after BF1. There just seems like loads of content and polishing isn't there.
Don't get me wrong its fairly balanced, beautiful, runs great and you can have some amazing games of operations fending of hordes of enemies. It can be very intense and enjoyable especially with friends. It is a good solid game but for me lacks longevity. I also have Hardline and I would say BF1 is better in a lot of respects but I wont be playing it again until all the DLC has come out.
For me the core gunplay isn't good enough to keep me interested and when I've maxed all unlocks and the next DLC takes way too long to come out there isn't really anything to do. So even years down the line and as long as BF4 still has a good following on PC I think ill be playing a lot of BF4 and not BF1 or Hardline for that matter.

Think of it as an investment. There will still be many thousands of people playing this on PC in 5-10 years from now. What other FPS series that wasn't created by Valve or Blizzard can you really say that about?
BF3 came out in 2011 and is still extremely popular now.
