I have both. The A3143 seems to have heavier bass and i think sounds a little muffled because of it. The Sport XL has good base, less so than the A3143 and to me sounds a little clearer because of it. Maybe personal preference thou. The battery life on the XL is miles better and is obviously more rugged.
