It's made with a large amount of rice instead of barley. Rice is much cheaper than barley and had little to no flavour in brewing use. Good price if you like that sort of thing, but not flavorful!

Like most products, the size has slowly decreased 'due to the economic climate' - yes, they used to be 330ml in bulk boxes.
Now its usually just the 4-6 packs and cans that are 330ml
I am also fairly certain that I read that due to taxes, the % of alcohol in Budwiser, Fosters, Stella and other brands was reduced to fall within a threshold e.g. 4.4% down to 4.2% :-(

The price per litre is the important comparison. Normally bud on sale will be round about £2 per litre, but seen it as low as £1.67.
The ABV dropped to 4.7 or 4.8%, not 4 2

These when on offer normally work out at 50p a bottle. As this is slightly less then this is a good deal.
