Wouldn't touch Zyxel with a barge pole. Worst customer service and technical support I've come across. Had a NAS drive that was faulty and they refused to acknowldge it even though it was blatently obvious when compared to fully working models on youtube.

Completely disagree. I had 2 200Mbps powerline adaptors. One failed after a few months and was replaced immediately. They did not even want to see the failed one. Later the second one failed while still under warranty and, again, was replaced immediately.

Luckily, I've not had to deal with ZyXel's customer service as all the ones I've had over the years have worked okay.
Replacing the four that I have with two packs would cost me £10 more at Amazon (since over £50 is free delivery), but I can understand that not everyone needs that many so Amazon customer service might swing the deal for those.

So, which is the most reliable make of powerline adapters?
TP Link seems to get slated on all deals for dropouts, never used Devolo or Netgear.

I use some older TP-Link ones myself between 200 & 500mpbs and they work great - had them a few years now. Only once in a blue moon do I need to unplug them for a few seconds due to an issue.

Heat added. Waiting for dual ethernet ports and pass through to drop a bit more personally but might be waiting a while

From what I've heard of ZyXel their connection tends to be more stable than tp link. Will have to do more research.

Agree the ZyXels support is good they replaced one of mine that failed without any problems. That said found the 500mbps range ones to be poor. Slow sync speeds even when plugged into the same double socket and even worse across the house. Was expecting much better considering the house/wiring is brand new

Basically the NAS drive I had was very noisy which wouldn't be so bad but the fan was making a very annoying cyclic hum that wasn't there on videos of other peopes NAS drives on youtubeoft he same model.
The people at ZyXEL said it was normal and wouldn't exchange it. The noise was irritating beyond belief.
