after some headphones for my son's upcoming birthday, i think these have been been around awhile and seem good all-rounders according to many reviews. Circa £28 everywhere else so thought I'd let you know :-)

These are complete crud, wish I'd have spent a few more quid and got a decent headset.

Both me and my daughter have these, we play online together and quality is nice and clear. Yes they feel cheap but they are 20 quid so what!

Mine are alright too, I'm no audio expert but i can hear games fine.
Decent headset for the money.

These are the kinds of headset that get you bottom of the leaderboard in any online FPS game.
Spend double at least.
You can get the Siberia V2 or Kingston HyperX Cloud for 40-50 and you will actually hear the game sound as intended.
I've been through 90% of headsets on the market and Turtble Beach (even their highest end Elite 800X) are terrible.
These should be given to kids who don't appreciate they're stuff and will through them around.

the steel series siberia v2 are also poor and lack bass and decent noise isolation.

The one's at the top of the leaderboards, the real hardcore gamers, don't use headsets. It's distracting. They sense enemy movements in a way that's unknown.

Well I disagree, I think the sound quality is horrible. They also distort at high volumes, the audio cuts out occasionally too, and I've been told by friends that the mic quality is not good either.
I'm not even an audio snob who trashes budget headsets, as I used to have the Turtle BEach X11's for the 360 and those were far superior in every respect compared to these.
You are of course entitled to your opinion, I'm just voicing mine as I wish somebody had warned me before I wasted my money on these.

Just balancing the opinions! Sounds like yours were faulty - I researched before buying mine and the main problem seemed to be if you kept pulling the plug in mic in and out after time it became faulty. As for distorting at loud volume these are directly against your ears and should never be played loud anyway.
