A bit of a niche item; only worth it for fairly involved weekend mechanics! This is usually between £50 and £100 depending on where you buy. Around £50 in Amazon. It has been cheaper (£20?). It gets really good reviews compared with other electric wrenches owing to variable speed. Far better and quieter option than a cheap compressor and cheap air tools. For OCCASIONAL use by home mechanics (like me) on stuck nuts, wheel lugs, suspension parts etc, you can't go wrong IMO.

Ok, well mine's going to have to go back for a replacement. All started out working well this morning, but after a bit the 'hammer' action of the ratchet stopped working intermittently. I took the front off it and managed to free the spring which got it to work again for about 30 seconds after I put it back together, bit then it went back to not working again.
When it worked, it worked well and I was very impressed with it, but then it just became intermittent and then nothing at all which was frustrating and I ended up resorting to hand tools instead.
No idea how long it'll take to get a replacement, considering the length of time to get this one! I'd urge anyone else who's bought one to try it out sooner rather than later to check you've not got a dud like mine.

Same here - mine turned up Wednesday. I'm (oddly) quite looking forward to replacing the shocks, wishbones, droplinks and ARB bushes on my wife's car this weekend now. I've had all the bits sitting in the shed for ages (over a year!) and the weather looks to be nice this weekend so I'm going to get on and do it.

Well this eventually turned into a huge win. After complaining that they had lost my package after waiting 4 months to ship it they did a recall and ordered another giving me a free months prime for the trouble, then the new one that was in stock at the time got delayed and went out of bloody stock so I moaned about this and got a £10 credit, it finally shipped from France and arrived today, total cost £8.06 :face_with_monocle:

It seems very odd that there are so many issues with this order (mine now says that if I don't have it by Thursday, I should contact them for 'other options').
Maybe it's just that the orders are so old?
Maybe this is how they get rid of orders that they can never fulfil?
Strange.

OK, so after an online chat with Amazon support, there was apparently a problem with my original order on their system which is why mine still keeps getting pushed back and not actually dispatched. They advised me to re-order it and then adjusted the new order to price-match it to the price of the original order, before cancelling the original order. It should be dispatched tomorrow and delivered by the end of the week, although in reality the chat advisor said it will likely arrive tomorrow, through Prime.
If anyone else is finding that their order is still being pushed back, even though Amazon now claim to have stock (see the "Other Sellers on Amazon" bit of the page), I advise you get in touch with them.

Mine apparently stopped off for an overnight 'break' in Belgium on Friday, now arrived in England somewhere. Might have it in my hands by the middle of the week. Was it worth waiting for something I don't really need as the last impact driver I bought is still sitting in its case, unused! But that was a 12 volt one, so a bit of a faff to attach to car battery, this one is straight into a wall socket in my garage. Thanks again to the OP.

So long as people remember to hit the rusty nuts with a shot of plus gas a few hours in advance you shouldn't shear off any nuts.
