Addressing your problems in order of importance;
1) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OUi0mMuJ1kY
2) Need more info on model; best look up yourself eg. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/period-key-not-working.242894/
3) There's a large number of different devices from different manufacturers. Best thing you can do is look for the power requirements on the device itself: it should state somewhere the required voltage (most likely 6, 9 or 12v), and polarity; diagram next to the dc socket indicates either positive or negative for the outer and centre as curve and dot: -(•-

Alex the Kid freaks me out because of a song a lad at my school used to sing to the tune
"Alex the kid, Alex the kid, he is a paedo and he wears a wig!"
We didn't even know what half of it meant but its nonsense stupidity is bonded to the bones of the kids in my year like adamantium.

It's cheap but it's garbage unfortunately. Much better off getting a PSP for only a few more quid, and modding it to play emulators. Or a DS for that matter.
