Why do they keep gold plating the HDMI cables? I want the remote control to be gold plated.

Heat added, if it wasn't curved I'd have pulled the trigger!

We bought this model 6 months ago for about £280 more (as I recall) from John Lewis and it's great - worth the extra money for having it for the extra time.
I can understand why people have issues with curved screens, but I feel it's more a case of getting used to it - you always feel a bit off kilter unless watching it dead centre (which is fantastic btw, especially for games, although I only have a PS3 and don't play online any longer), but I now find it even weirder watching the 43" LG flat screen that's been relegated to the bedroom (damned good also, but they seem to have lowered their game since we got that 2-3 years ago).
I'm able to view more of the curved screen when at a sharp side angle watching it whilst leaning out of the window (for reasons which need not be mentioned just now..), so again I'd say the shape really does help, but I think that overall it's an individual preference so best go with whichever a person feels happiest with.
When initially looking to buy this television after doing a bit of research and reading some good reviews, we got it on sale at the time and there were only a few left. As I wasn't able to go to see it myself before ordering, my girlfriend went on her own and it was only then that we discovered it was a curved screen - it wasn't the original intent to get one and I really wasn't sure without taking a look myself, having not really looked into them specifically but they were running out and due to go back up in price so..
And it's been awesome since we plugged it in.
I hope it helps anyone considering it as it's a great price for a great television.

Only HDR ready not HDR 1000, but decent price. Hope they offer the same £100 off more expensive non curved ones. Heat added.
