At this price it is cheaper to buy your clothes once there and throw them away after the 2 weeks.

It is not 'absolutely incorrect', and if your English was absolutely perfect you would realise you should have said my information was incomplete. It is POSSIBLE to take a bus or taxi, so my information is correct........ I taught English in Bulgaria so realise the grammar is very different and can be misleading when people use English but think in Bulgarian perhaps.
If I arrived with several suitcases then I would use a taxi as it's easier, but as I usually had hand luggage only, I enjoyed the bus journey especially after a longer absence, as it helped me familiarise myself with everyday life again, as well as passing by a flat where I used to live and had good friends.

I've got a couple of flights booked with Wizzair this summer, from Naples to Sofia, then on to Varna.
It may be worth noting in the description that this price is for a small piece of hand luggage, which is considerably smaller than what is acceptable as hand luggage normally (ie. Ryanair and Easyjet). Normal sized hand luggage is extra.

Is their hand luggage allowance smaller by weight or case size please?

Worth remembering for anyone thinking of doing similar, that most Bulgarians would use coaches for that journey, so there are plenty of options from Sofia bus station (bus or taxi from airport) to Varna (can walk from bus station to centre with hand luggage, as it's a straight road).
Coach might be cheaper and possibly quicker depending on flight connections. Coaches run during the night as well, so sleeping on them is normal.

Case size. It is 42 X 32 X 25 CM, which is more like the 'personal item' size on other airlines.

Correct. Ryanair is 55 x 40 x 20 cm plus plus 1 small bag up to 35 x 20 x 20 cms
