Great travel cot for the price. I picked up 2 in store in carlisle. spare room is small and expecting 3 grandkids. Easy to set up. You lock the top 4 bars in place before pushing down the centre bar. The mattrass is too firm, so will probably get a cheap duvet and make 2 extra padding to make it more comfortable. recommended.
There are mattresses for travel cots, they are thinner than standard cot mattresses but much more comfortable than the mat that comes with the travel cot.
For example Travel cot mattress They are available in different sizes so you would need to measure the mat that came with yours.
Please do remember that a duvet is DANGEROUS for children under 1 year old.
See the NHS guidelines for reducing cot death / sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) NHS guidelines to reduce SIDS
They recommend:
How to put your baby in the 'feet to foot' position
+ Tuck the covers in securely under your baby's arms so they can't slip over their head. Use one or more layers of lightweight blankets.
+ Use a baby mattress that's firm, flat, well-fitting and clean, and waterproof on the outside. Cover the mattress with a single sheet.
- Don't use duvets, quilts, baby nests, wedges, bedding rolls or pillows.
