Was doing my post-gym shop this evening and saw this. Works out at £3.00 per kilo, which is a fair bit cheaper than even the cheapest of frozen chicken breasts.
I know not everybody is a fan of Quorn, but I don't mind it, so I'm happy stocking up.

Cold as it is not vegan, and poor chickens have to suffer for this.
Quorn been promising to make their range fully vegan for a year now, but still haven't
If you don't mind chickens being kept in cages and suffering for you then go ahead.

Says they use free range egg white, so how the suffering? If you want vegan that's a different issue surely?

Comments like this are not productive, are ill informed and give people reason to dislike preachy Vegans. Firstly, Quorn use free range eggs. Also, people eating Quorn are making a conscious choice to not eat meat, surely from a Vegan/Vegetarian point of view that's a good thing and a step in the right direction! By all means pass on information that may help others but there's really no need to be judgmental and put people down.
As far as I'm aware Quorn have never promised to make their whole range Vegan! I've seen them telling multiple people on social media that they have no intention of doing this currently. They've openly said that currently the same quality can't be reached for all of their product range with only Vegan ingredients.
Now I've got that off my chest.. Good price OP!

If you know how real mince taste then this can be 50/50 for some, has a weird fragrance to it when cooked in a bolognese. Also it seems to break down abit too easily and not hold its form when left after for a few days.

Free Range is just a term used by farmers to sound better. Truth is chickens are treated horrifcally regardless.
Point is if you are eating Quorn because you are vegetarian and do not want to eat meat or hurt animals, then you need to educate yourself as to the treatment of Dairy animals, Chickens and cows etc.

You call it preachy, I call it educating people who are ignorant of the truth of the industry.
Pretty much all vegans start out as vegetarians, they then educate themselves, and when they find out the truth, they become vegan.
And you imagine these chickens just wander about a farm, lay eggs wherever they like and farmers come and pick up the eggs from the floor right?
You couldn't be more wrong.
Chickens have been bred, much like other animals, they are not natural in any way, they are twice the size of chickens in the 1950s.
Not to mention what happens to male chicks, even on those lovely fluffy free range farms.
They are murdered by the way.
Yes it is a step in the right direction, but its a bit like not eating horse meat, but riding a horse and whipping it.
Yes you are not eating the meat, but you are still causing pain to the animal.
Thats nonsense, its just cheaper for them to make certain products with egg and milk.
Only a full boycott of those products will encourage them to make the range fully vegan.
Otherwise they continue to be hypocrites
