Just got the notification from camelcamelcamel. Looks like it's the lowest Amazon have had it new.

Feels a bit like the Vita all over again, to me: hyped up and then a complete lack of interest by developers in making games for it. Can't see it having a long-term future.

Would love one of these, waiting for £200-250 though hopefully

But the thing is Vita was and still is a great device. The only thing that stopped it being a success is the negativity from people putting off others and harming the user base.
Deja vu anyone?

Yeah I would love one too. My own personal biting point is around the £250-£300 mark but this might suit some people  It's slowly getting there!

Yeah same. When it hits £250 I'll seriously think about getting one.
But the if i was Sony I would reduce the price to 250 now because I'm sure they would sell a load more.

Oh you're right. I got the pence wrong, it's £319.99, not £319.19. Cheers!

Its been available at the £320 price point sporadically ever since launch. I used to own one, fantastic bit of kit that delivered a mind blowing experience. I only sold mine because I'm moving abroad in the summer and a £350 toy isnt a personal priority in my life right now. I think E3 will be a big make or break event for the PSVR. The tech has huge potential, enough id say to warrant spending £300+ on. However, it now needs some quality games to see that potential delivered. They don't necessarily need to be huge AAA titles, the best game I played on the PSVR was Holoball!

Yeah I've not used the VR yet myself but am still looking forward to getting one. Really excited to try out Resident Evil 7 on it! Like you say, it needs some more quality games.

I do feel for the Vita. It had such great potential and could have been an amazing device

I wasn't sold on the psvr. Thought I would love it but too many wires and headaches and could only really use it for 30mins at a time. Also needs some AAA titles

I got mine from Very with the 20% off code the other week, along with the camera, move controllers, and headphones - all together around £400 after discount and it is worth every penny!
I agree it needs more high budget games but just by looking at the demos in all the different psn stores, they're well on the way.
It's a great tech innovation but people need to realise that it will only get developed further if there's enough consumer interest in it.
IMO the tech is still doing their first steps and it can be pushed much further. There are many people working on solving issues like the motion sickness many can experience but the immersion one gets with it is mind blowing - even if it's into a cartoon-ish world.
Bottom line is, it's awesome. Yes it needs work but I'm happy to buy into it and give sony my money to take it further.
Highly recommended!

So if we want VR in the future we have to fork out £400 for it now? I disagree with that and think it was released prematurely by Sony. Just like the Kinect, releasing something mid-generation reeks of "a gimmick" to push sales.
Maybe when the PS6 is out and VR costs around £60 and there's less wires, I'll take the plunge again. People need to stop blaming the consumer for not spending a small fortune to basically be beta testers for VR. Start pointing the finger at Sony

The Resident evil 7 demo is the scariest horror experience I've had!!!
Love resident evil but have never been that scared to open a door.
