An incredible series of games and Andromeda is a fantastic game too. Just finished it. Great deal.

Already played the trilogy twice with all DLC on xbox and yet still tempted by this
Thanks OP!

Great timing as I started fresh on the trilogy a week or two ago and was missing the 3rd one. ME2 was easy enough to get running with all the DLC, though from a quick google it looks like it's gonna be harder with this one.
A few mod recommendations for if anyone is starting the series fresh (if you can't find a link just drop me a pm):
ME1: Faster Elevators (and/or bind a button for 10x game speed, makes the mako and running missions more bearable), there's also a big texture pack but it requires a bit of work to get it working, so only bother if you're gonna run through multiple times.
ME2: Shorter Loading Animations (otherwise you'll be waiting 30 secs to load any area), ALOT (huge texture pack, relatively easy to install)

The shorter loading animations mod for ME2 is a lifesaver, clearly BioWare/EA never anticipated that their game would one day be widely installed on SSDs which could load the level far quicker than it takes the standard loading animation to play through!
I've got all the ME3 DLC working; you're right, it is more of a pain than ME2, but it's certainly possible. It's one of those things that I don't think I'll ever be uninstalling, I can't be bothered with the hassle of getting it all to work again...

I utterly adore this trilogy. definitely worth a uhd remake. andromeda is great and ryder is funny and likeable, but I really miss the powerwheel. hate having to pause the game and go thru menus for another loadout. and where's my big ass canon for the nomad?! anyways heat.

If ever a gaming trilogy was crying out for a UHD remake with all expansion packs this is it. Not installing my Andromeda until they've sorted all the issues out and added dlc, might be a 12 month wait but it'll be worth it.

You can already play the first three games at UHD resolutions on the PC and they look pretty good with the original textures but there are also some pretty good mods that add 4K textures and other visual improvements.
Totally agree! (Usually it's me ranting about this on these deals!) I think I worked out that it would be £80 or something to buy all the DLC for these games using BioWare points. Why they never got rid of BioWare points, put the DLC on sale or released season passes or complete editions of the individual games or entire trilogy is beyond me, especially considering how popular these games are. I've settled for buying the trilogy on Origin and pirating the DLC (you just need to find decrypted copies of the DLCs, put them in the folder and they'll appear as normal in game). I'm trying to decide whether to replay it on Xbox 360/One or PC. On the one hand, the PC version will look better, and has pretty decent controller support if you install the mod for it. On the other hand, I was so close to getting all the achievements on the Xbox 360 and would like to get the rest, mainly by choosing different story paths next time. But I don't own any DLC and it will cost me a small fortune on the Xbox - how much were they on sale for? I've never seen them discounted before...

Andromeda was good but no where near as compelling as the original trilogy. Played through ME1 again recently and it still holds up well. Looking forward to playing through ME2 again though!
£5 for the complete collection is great value, and highly recommended - although I assume this does not include all of the DLC?

No, it won't. You still have to buy those idiotic "Bioware Points," and then "buy" the DLC with those, which makes the DLC expensive and you'll end up with points left over that are utterly useless. They changed it to real-world money on the consoles, why they never did on PC is beyond me.
(rant over, it's frustrated me for years :P )

If these were re-released on console they'd go for £30. But PC gaming is expensive, right?!
Unfortunately, I believe the only way to get the ME3 DLC, without the use of torrenting, is to buy it at its ridiculously high price straight from BioWare. If you are going to buy it, I'd say get the Citadel and Leviathan DLCs and leave the Omega and From Ashes DLCs.
You can get the Prothean squad mate, Javik, from the From Ashes DLC for free by changing a couple of lines of code:
Obviously you don't get the mission where you find him, but I you could watch it on YouTube if you want to be filled in with the story.
It's very rare that I'd advocate piracy, but I'd fully understand someone torrenting the ME3 DLCs; it's utterly ridiculous that a single story DLC pack now costs more than the entire base game!

Hence why I have restarted my Mass Effect journey on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility - I would rather have played the trilogy on PC but couldn't work out how to get the DLC, but that explains it. Plus I already had some DLC on Xbox anyway from the original 360 playthrough, and the rest was on offer on Live recently so I'm stocked up and ready to go :stuck_out_tongue:
