Loved the game until that damn water escape. Ruined the game for me.

I too loved this game, gave up at the same point, got the def edition, played it on easy and still got stuck at a later point, would love to finish it but my gaming time is far too limited to waste it banging my head against a wall :disappointed:

Exactly my thoughts! I can't spare the time to do the same thing over and over.

Those sequences can be a little tricky (there's a few more of them) but they're not as hard as they look and after dying a few times, you do get the pattern and get through it which is hugely satisfying when you nail it.
My Xbox credit was expiring and I bought this at full price which I don't regret in the slightest, it's been one of my favourite games this generation for the beautiful visuals, excellent soundtrack and tight controls. The game can be punishing and unforgiving but with frequent use of save points you can die a lot without losing anything and the game doesn't feel unfair as the controls are great, when you get the feel of the game it's immensely satisfying pulling off complex jumping sequences.

Anyone know if you can carry over saves from the original version?
