20MP is not a sensor size but a resolution and its almost irrelevant
lens size doesn't let more light in and you wont see much higher quality pictures (phone dependant ofc)
112mm is not wide angle
but yeah for a 'do all' camera its not so bad

...clearly not what this camera is for. If you want a video camera for 1080p there are plenty around.

What would the quality of photos be on a camera like this compared to the top phone such as a Galaxy S7 or 8?

I'm guessing because it looks like a "real DSLR" it gets voted hot....very poor spec...cold

Sorry, but it has the same tiny sensor as smartphone cameras, it big and bulky and takes very average photos.

Actually it takes very good photos. Better image processing and lens than a smartphone. Still I would pay the extra for the Nikon P900 or a proper DSLR.

The biggest problem with smartphone cameras isn't the small sensor, it's the minuscule amount of light that such tiny lenses can let in. Proper cameras (regardless of sensor size) don't have that massive problem.

Is it worth getting this if I've got the iPhone 7 plus camera?

Depends what camera you have alongside the iPhone, I suppose?
