Never asked me for ID at any point. It sometimes comes down to random choice or it can be the method you use to deposit. It could be a few things.
if you're going to do that, it's a far better idea to do the double chance of atletico or the draw as your pre-match bet, which is 1/20 at the moment and will give you a £2.50 profit and then go for leicester to win as your in-play bet at 12/1 which will give you a £550 profit.

Its KYC, every UKGC license holder has to do it or risk losing their license. Some do it electronically, but that can fail at times, and they need to ask for ID, and also they have to do an enhanced KYC once your turnover or withdrawals meet a certain level.
I wasn't asked by 365, Skybet, Betfair, but was by Paddypower and Coral.
If you don't like sending a bit of ID, then don't bet with Williamhill, they sometimes ask for proof of where funds came from!

When one team is a heavy favourite, as Atletico are, it's always difficult to get a decent profit so i think a lot of the time it's a case of either small or huge and no real in-between.
If you want to secure a minimum of a tenner profit, i think your best bet will be on Leicester to score in the 1st half.
"No" is currently 2/9 which will return £61.11 and "Yes" is 3/1 which will return £200 so do "No" as your pre-match and "Yes" as your in-play.
Minimum £11.11 profit, maximum £100.
Bear in mind that 365's T's & C's do have a clause preventing "guaranteeing profit" in this instance, but they rarely enforce it.
You can lay off a £50 bet with someone else to stay within them if you really want to play it safe though.

I did £150 on Madrid, £50 in play on the draw and £15 with another bookie on Leicester
home or away win guarantees £30 profit. Draw is currently £60 profit
bogglebrain
10 Apr 171#14
It was the abusing the guaranteed profit clause that I was wary of. I thought £50 on Atletico at 3/10 (returns £65 + £50 free bet stake), risk free £50 bet on the draw at 9/2 ( returns £275 ) and £5 on Leicester at 12/1(888sport) ( returns £65 + £50 free bet stake ). Total outlay is £105 with returns of £115, £275 and £115.
HankHandsome
10 Apr 17#15
That's a good selection actually. I have heard of them enforcing the clause here and there but not always though, so I guess it's however you feel about taking a chance. But you've worked a decent minimum profit there so good stuff

nseaman's is good as well. It all comes down to what you actually think will happen in the match. The likely scenario is a home win with an outside chance of a draw. My painkillers are making my head fuzzy, but I think I've found another option where the returns are £0, £50 and £360, so it's down to whether I settle for £0 with a good upside, £10 with a decent upside or £30 with a much lower upside.

Probably a silly question, but how can you work things out now if you don't know what the odds will be once it goes in-play. Would like to do this, but what happens if the odds for a draw drop dramatically once it goes in-play. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

HankHandsome to jonnyjackov
11 Apr 171#26
as loop has said, they may well drop slightly but it won't be a huge amount. the very nature of these things means that the prices will fluctuate all the time, but if you want to be absolutely certain then you can have the match page open in your browser as soon as it kicks off and then you click on the bet to place it.
if you're feeling brave and you're going for leicester to win as your in-play bet, you could wait for 10-15 minutes to see if Atletico get an early goal. It would very likely push leicester's odds from 12/1 out to closer to 20/1 so you could make your bet then.
It's a risky think to do because if you wait too long, you could end up losing money though.

£50 pre-match on "No" at 1/20 for £52.50
£50 in-play on "Yes" at 10/1 for £550

£50 pre-match on "No" at 2/7 for £64.28
£50 in-play on "Yes" at 5/2 for £175

Bobbajob
11 Apr 17#63
Hi folks, never tried one of these before. Can I run it past you?
I've placed a £50 bet on Athetico to win = £65 return
I need to place the £50 in play bet on the draw = £275 return at current odds, but may change.
Then I need to cover for Leicester winning elsewhere.
I have an account with Coral that is currently at 11 to 1 so £5 would return me £60.
Total outlay = £50 + £50 + £5 = £105. If the draw bet loses I get £50 back.
Possible return are £65, £275 or £60. So guaranteed minimum of £5 return.
If Athletico win I get £65 and the £50 losing draw bet back. Making a £10 profit.
If it's a draw I make £170 profit.
If Leicester win I get £50 losing draw back, and £60 on the bet. Meaning £5 profit.
This stuff is more complicated that being at work.
Am I right?
HankHandsome
11 Apr 17#64
Yeah, that'll work. Just remember your total outlay will be £105, not £55 as you have to pay for the £50 in-play bet yourself.
#edit
I see you edited your post as I was typing this, but yeah, you've got it. Go for BetStars for the Leicester bet though - they currently have them at 13/1 so a better option than Coral.
Covering all outcomes with one bookmaker is always a risk. The bookie is well within their rights to refuse to pay out. Instant £100 loss. It hasn't happened with B365 yet. But that doesn't mean it won't ever happen.
RadicalCosmicalRainbow
11 Apr 17#67
A bit confused here. Can you explain more about the profit, I maybe missing something simple. I put
£150 on athletico win @ 3/10 = £195 potential.
£50 inplay on a Draw @~9/2 = £275 potential.
And £15 Leicester win @ 25/2 = £202.50. (netbet)
===Total bets £215
So, if the inplay doesnt win, I get the £50 back from bet365? that will combine with either athletico win (195+50=£245), or leceister win (202.50+50=£252.50)?
ok. thanks for that. I shall proceed. (mind you, maybe I should wait till nearer the game. Odds are someone will forget or fall ill and not get the free bet on the draw, and it the result will be a draw and theyll be down 165 notes lol. It will be just my luck as well..)
HankHandsome
11 Apr 17#70
Yep, you've got it. The in-play is refunded if it doesn't win - usually an hour or two after the game has finished.
A total outlay of £215, so £30 quid profit if Athletico win, £60 quid profit if it's a draw or £37.50 profit if Leicester win at 25/2.

I can't remember how quickly 365 settle winning bets but most online bookies do settle them almost instantly, so in one respect then yes, it would work and you could then re-use the £50 quid.

If they enforce the T's & C's in this particular instance, then I think that they'll (A) Refuse to refund the in-play bet if it loses and (B) Ban you from further promotions.

Once the inplay gets refunded I'll be £11.50 up. It'll pay for a takeaway

£35 up, was hoping for a draw as it would have given me £500. Good profit though when they refund the in-play.

They seem slow in paying, I understand the risk free may take a while but the winnings from athletico winning still hasn't come. usually site pay with a couple minutes.

Shame it wasn't a draw, but still a small profit anyway (when no-risk bet refunded). Thanks OP.
A penalty that shouldn't have been cost me a few hundred, and saved Bet385 a good few thousand I would imagine - I reckon the referee works for Bet365 lol

You may find for some reason that the free bet returned does not show in your balance at top of page, but is there when you click on withdrawals. That happened to me today, and after the Grand National on Saturday (when my 5 horses came 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th lol). All withdrawn with no problems.

Thanks so much OP. Made £30.
How often do they do these arbitrage ops?!
HankHandsome

Reasonably often. It's usually with the "big" games though. If Leicester do qualify for the semifinals, I expect they'll do it again for those games.

Just posting an update to reassure Frankie Howerd on his worries about the 888sport enhanced odds offer. I managed to convert the £49 in free bets into £43 cash, so total profit on the bet was £63 (would have been £99 if I hadn't set a limit on my Bet365 account)
Opening post
100% guaranteed free money, just depends on how much.
Will still likely go ice cold though !

if you're going to do that, it's a far better idea to do the double chance of atletico or the draw as your pre-match bet, which is 1/20 at the moment and will give you a £2.50 profit and then go for leicester to win as your in-play bet at 12/1 which will give you a £550 profit.
I wasn't asked by 365, Skybet, Betfair, but was by Paddypower and Coral.
If you don't like sending a bit of ID, then don't bet with Williamhill, they sometimes ask for proof of where funds came from!
You can lay off a £50 bet with someone else to stay within them if you really want to play it safe though.
home or away win guarantees £30 profit. Draw is currently £60 profit

if you're feeling brave and you're going for leicester to win as your in-play bet, you could wait for 10-15 minutes to see if Atletico get an early goal. It would very likely push leicester's odds from 12/1 out to closer to 20/1 so you could make your bet then.
It's a risky think to do because if you wait too long, you could end up losing money though.
and bogglebrain, your pm's are indeed off so please pm me again
I usually go for home or away win as my pre match bet.... Currently £8.33 return.
Then a draw for my in play bet.... Currently £75 return.
But tempted by the Leicester to score in first half option as mentioned above.
just bear in mind that many people thought it would be a cricket score in the last round and i think they only lost the first leg 1-2
just saw ladbrokes are refudning Correct Score, First Goalscorer & Half Time/Full Time bets up to £25 if the match ends in a draw. so that could factor in. any other sites doing offers for this match?
I expect a few people to mess this up though - it always happens
If you can afford the initial outlay, you're better off doing £150 on Atletico pre-match, £50 on the in-play draw and £15 on Leicester at 12/1 somewhere else.
Keeps within the T's & C's and guarantees a profit of £30 quid if Atletico or Leicester win or £60 if it's a draw.
I had an account there before but they can't find any record of it so the customer service said just make a new one.So hopefully there won't be a problem with the bonus
Oh no sorry, I would be loading £200 into the account so £200 free to try roll over.
Obvious risk is that it ends 0-0 and i lose £50 but i'm aware of that risk before i start
Won this with the Arsenal v Bayern (Champ league)
Man United v Liverpool (Europa league last season)
Portugal vs Wales (Euro)
Arsenal v Liverpool (prem league this season)
Also the odds for "no" are currently 1/8 so you would only get £6.25 profit if both teams do not score 1st half.
I used to do over 0.5; then pick a winner in the 90 once the match was started. Was only bet I was doing with them; had a few wins in a row and then got banned from promotions.
It like they did to my wife
Red Cards ..
£50 pre-match on "No" at 2/9 for £61.11
£50 in-play on "Yes" at 3/1 for £200
£11.11 minimum profit, £100 maximum
Own Goals
£50 pre-match on "No" at 1/20 for £52.50
£50 in-play on "Yes" at 10/1 for £550
£2.50 minimum profit, £450 maximum
Penalties
£50 pre-match on "No" at 2/7 for £64.28
£50 in-play on "Yes" at 5/2 for £175
£14.28 minimum profit, £75 maximum
Am I right?

I see you edited your post as I was typing this, but yeah, you've got it. Go for BetStars for the Leicester bet though - they currently have them at 13/1 so a better option than Coral.
https://www.betstars.uk/#/soccer/coupons/soccer-champions-league-uk
I went with Coral as I already have an account with them. The Leicester bet is just insurance really. Fingers crossed for the draw.
https://matchedbettingblog.com/football/bet365-in-play-offer-atletico-madrid-v-leicester-city/#.WO0z7KDTXqA
Covering all outcomes with one bookmaker is always a risk. The bookie is well within their rights to refuse to pay out. Instant £100 loss. It hasn't happened with B365 yet. But that doesn't mean it won't ever happen.
£150 on athletico win @ 3/10 = £195 potential.
£50 inplay on a Draw @~9/2 = £275 potential.
And £15 Leicester win @ 25/2 = £202.50. (netbet)
===Total bets £215
So, if the inplay doesnt win, I get the £50 back from bet365? that will combine with either athletico win (195+50=£245), or leceister win (202.50+50=£252.50)?
Is that accurate?
Atletico win: £195 - £215 + £50 (refund) = £30.
Draw: £275 - £215 = £60.
Leicester win: £202.50 - £215 + £50 (refund) = £37.50.
Your profit is £30, £60, or £37.50.
A total outlay of £215, so £30 quid profit if Athletico win, £60 quid profit if it's a draw or £37.50 profit if Leicester win at 25/2.

hah! i'm slow with my replies tonight again
That said, what happens if it's 0-0 ?
Obviously it's unlikely, but you're putting yourself in a situation where you're risking losing £50 on a risk free bet.
I don't think they will essentially "stop" your account and prevent you from withdrawing any money unless they feel you're acting fraudulently.
I'm willing to be corrected on this though.
Why not go balls out in-play and go for 4-1 at 22/1 ?. Returns £1, 150 at the moment.
Or even Riyad Mahrez as the first goalscorer at 20/1 for £1,050 ?
He's only one behind Aguero in the current Champions League scoring charts with 4 goals.
Either way, good luck
"Certain restrictions may be applied to your account. If you have an account balance you can request to withdraw these funds now by going to the Withdrawal page in Members."
I'm going for the standard - £150 home, £50 risk-free draw, £15 lay-off at betfair.
Normally bet with betfair and it's much simpler than this!

After checking, have discovered this was my issue, as a lower limit was "mapped over from an account held over ten years ago"...
If the in-play bet is winning, then the refund is irrelevant because you've already cashed out.
Additional winnings will be credited as free bet tokens.
Free bet tokens will be applied to qualifying accounts on the April 13th 2017 (please allow 72 hours in extenuating circumstances).
Free bet tokens are added in maximum denominations of £/$/€20. For example if qualifying for a total of £/$/€50 of free bets, these will be credited to eligible account as 2 x £/$/€20 and 1 x £/$/€10.
Member bet limits also apply to free bet placement.
Free bet tokens expire after 7 days.
Free bet stakes are not included in any returns.
Free bet token cannot be redeemed on each way bets or permutations.
Free bet tokens must be used in their entirety. They cannot be used to place a succession of smaller bets.
Free bet token cannot be combined with ‘real money’ stakes.
Any advice on what i could do as the in play bet please. My 1st bet was Leicester to score in the first half as "No" before the match starts.
yeah i should have mentioned that they were unlikely to be in-play bets
Luckily I covered the penalty to be awarded live on Sky Bet, just before Atletico got the penalty or I would have lost £50!
Now need to decide what to use my £50 in play bet on.
over 10 corners might be a good shout as well at 9/4
A penalty that shouldn't have been cost me a few hundred, and saved Bet385 a good few thousand I would imagine - I reckon the referee works for Bet365 lol
