Will it be this price in store or do they vary from online?

I think they were only reduced online early because when they first reduced the eggs online on Saturday you could only order for delivery tomorrow (Easter Monday). So most probably the instore price tomorrow will also be half price. Worth knowing it is the majority of eggs that are reduced half price online including all the Lindt ones. If you want the Lindt bunny egg, it is reduced a little further in the flash sale - though interestingly the M & M peanut one is offered to you at 87p in the flash sale, even though it is now 50p normally!

Our local Morrisons had the end of one aisle only left with eggs yesterday afternoon. Not like years ago when there were shelves of them left come Tuesday after Easter! The only actual proper egg was one with 3 Mars Bars for £6.

Yes same in my local store very little left Friday afternoon, 3/4 of the Easter egg aisle had already moved over to gardening products.

I wonder if they've got some kind of 'sale or return' agreement with the major supermarkets. These days I think the only place that still seems to have stock for a while after is Waitrose, but even then it's not always reduced massively.
No, they just don't order as many, as the years go on with the technology they have now days, they know what they sold last year, they will know what they sold this year so it gets easier to predict demand, they may run out a little bit early, but I think supermarkets have changed there attitudes in recent years, they would rather run out a day or two before than have to reduce them to clear after the event, and let's face it they are on sale in all the supermarkets/shops for at least 3 months before Easter, so if you leave it until the day before to go and buy them who's fault is it that the one you want is no longer on the shelves!!

Yeah I always go to Waitrose a few days after Easter. I get a lot of bargains then.

Makes sense but my local Morrisons still had a tonne of Easter paraphernalia as recently as Saturday. In here at the moment and never mind eggs, there's literally only about four things in a reduced section (foam egg decorations, a couple of damaged boxed eggs).
