You say that like it makes a difference.
If you'd spent any time around copra processing plants, you be more than happy that it's been heated before arriving in your kitchen.

They split the coconuts and leave them out in the sun until the white comes away from the shell. There is no covering so they get flies on them birds do their business from above and they get nibbled and peed on by rodents. The smell is "interesting".
Plenty of other foodstuffs (rice, coffee, black pepper etc) get similar treatments so that's not a huge issue in and of itself but I'd certainly rather eat the resulting product after heat treatment and microfiltering.

In case anyone cares, KTC coconut oil is £1.75 at Tesco atm. Bagged 3 myself yesterday. Hope it helps!
